On December 4, 2017, we embarked on a five-day cross-country adventure, traveling the old-fashioned way—by train, across three different routes.

• Orlando, FL
• to Washington, DC
• to Chicago, IL
• to Emeryville, CA, just outside of San Francisco

• followed by a San Francisco walkabout

Our journey began at the Orlando, FL train station. To be precise, it actually started with a bus ride from Tampa to Orlando, where we caught our first train.

Posting during the train rides proved challenging, so the 13 posts I wrote were published between December 2017 and March 2018.
