This is the first of three posts of our two days in Benoa, Indonesia.

1. A Buddhist monastery and a Hindu Temple
2. The streets of Benoa
3. All around the port.

We engaged the services of an independent cab and had a great tour of the city, including wending our way through the crazy traffic (the lines painted on the roads are mere suggestions). The city is largely Hindu, and it is a religious holiday for most of the population (except for cab drivers).

A Buddhist monastery. It is relatively new, approximately ten years old.
