This post is part of an ongoing project: scanning my old slides, prints, and negatives (late 1970’s to 2004) to digital.

In a storage crate was a small orange and white slide box with the ubiquitous Kodalux label (one of many). It had no date, location, or notes on it. Just the word, “Reviewed,” added. Inside were a dozen slides, also unmarked.

Judging from the location in the storage box, the slides were taken in the 80’s. A couple of the slides hinted the location was in the Maggie Valley/ Asheville area of North Carolina. We were frequent visitors there to enjoy the beautiful area or as a runner participating in a local event.

Water splashing on a rock. For reasons I can’t quite explain, I am am drawn to this image.
