Breaking News:

There will be NO Thursday on Saturday this week…
But wait, it’s Friday in the US: does that mean there will be no Thursday on Friday?
I am so confused.

We were supposed to port at Thursday Island this morning, Saturday (which is Friday in the US), and take tenders ashore.
Because of adverse weather conditions, Port Authorities (aka Blankity Blank Blank Bureaucrats to some) would not allow our ship closer than a 90-minute tender ride. Local thunderstorms and rough seas led our Captain to [wisely] decide to forgo allowing passengers to risk their lives and limbs. Off we go to Darwin.
