Blew off an afternoon riding the train into Boston and just wandering around… started at the Harbor (the locals call it the Hahhbah) and worked my way in and around, ending up at the largest Christmas tree in New England.

If you have never been to downtown Boston, there are lots of narrow, twisting alleys with businesses facing out into them.

The Quincy Market… kind of touristy (actually a lot touristy), but a great old building… courtesy of new wide angle toy.

They do a light and music show using the tree as the principle character. This is actually three images taken in the dark combined into one (which explains why it is a tad fuzzy)

This is not actually Boston, it is in North Andover. It rained continuously for three days before my excursion into the city (amazing for those of us from places where we count the numbers of days it rains with our fingers). The “raindrops” are actually ice.
