A walking tour of the Sydney Opera House

Orchestra theatre. The building is called the Sydney Opera House, but the bigger of the two theatres is designed for symphony orchestra only. According to the story, it was a political decision, not a design decision.
Smaller opera theatre. Interesting factoid: because the two theatres are side by side, sets are brought up by elevator at the rear of the stages, unlike most theatres where they are brought in from stage left or right.

The tall building was supposed to be one of a series of identical towers but it was the only one built. Dubbed the Ugliest Building in Sydney.
