Flew into Tampa Thursday night, drove to Port Charlotte (south of Tampa), did a meeting and then back to Tampa to fly out Friday evening.
Driving in the dark down 275; talking on the phone to a friend in Florida who said “Dude, you are driving through some of the most beautiful country in the world… hope you have your cameras.” I politely reminded him it was pitch black outside and I was moving along at slightly over the 65MPH speed limit… not the most conducive situation for good photography. ‘Got me thinking though so I stopped on the south side of the Sunshine Skyway bridge to do a little time-lapse work (no tripod so balanced camera on roof of car). These are all 40 second – 2 minute exposures:




On the way back stopped on the north side of the same bridge. Mid- afternoon, very flat light, but a gorgeous setting and a beautiful day:


And then on into Tampa to catch a flight home, 23 hours after arriving:
