A quick trip to Colorado Springs, CO- arrive the afternoon, spend the night and fly out the next afternoon.

After the heat of Phoenix (a record 14 consecutive days over 100 degrees), the mountain coolness was welcome, although the weather was somewhat threatening! Ironically, the rain we actually got was light sprinkles the next morning, only to return to Phoenix to find heavy thunderstorms and rain.
